Description

A wearable assistive system for the visually impaired, featuring smart glasses and gloves to enhance navigation and communication.

Outcome

The final design consists of smart glasses and gloves that work in tandem to assist the visually impaired. The glasses incorporate bone conduction headphones and an integrated camera system, allowing users to receive real-time auditory feedback from their surroundings. The gloves feature infrared scanning and a laser-ranging system to detect obstacles and measure distances, with tactile elements such as Braille dots on the fingertips for enhanced interaction. The combination of these devices offers a seamless, wearable solution that improves navigation, safety, and daily activities for blind individuals, fostering greater independence and inclusion.
